New Dwelling
The brief for this project was to create a unique dwelling in Down Road Tavistock for a sensitive location backing onto the moor.
The design was inspired by the steel frame dutch barns, used to store hay bales found all over rural Devon. This metaphor was translated into an external steel frame over-sailing the whole building, whilst the walls were articulated below. To the rear is a 6 metre square window lighting a double height space.
